Dear Festival Participants,
I have just received an email from the Accommodation Co-ordinator at Memorial that there have been multiple complaints regarding the behaviour of participants staying at the new residence this weekend.
According to the accommodation co-ordinator, OOTA participants were less than courteous to others staying in the residence, and were up partying till all hours of the night this weekend.
Participants must adhere to the quiet hours of the building that begin at 11pm. If these quiet hours continue to be ignored, I have been informed that you will be asked to leave the residence immediately. OOTA will not be responsible for finding you new housing in those circumstances.
In addition, I was also informed that one of the couches in the lobby was removed and brought up to the sixth floor for the use of the OOTA participants. This is completely unacceptable. The co-ordinator of the residence, the head of campus security and the head of campus housing will be meeting with me on Monday to review the surveillance footage to see who removed the couch. They are treating this as a very serious issue, and I have been informed there will be consequences to those who removed the furniture.
I would appreciate it if those involved would contact me immediately at my email which is cheryl@operaontheavalon.com
